We believe street food should hit hard — in flavor, in vibe, and in values. At Pita Pocket, we’re on a mission to serve food that’s bold, soulful, and conscious. Our vision is to shake up Cologne’s food scene with a truck that delivers real flavor, real people, and real impact. No fluff. No waste. Just food you want to eat with your hands and your whole heart.

Our Food: Fresh, Loud, and Low-Waste

We focus on unapologetic vegetarian and vegan food — not because it’s a trend, but because it’s damn tasty. Every dish we serve is bursting with flavor and built from scratch using fresh, local ingredients and a low-waste mindset.

Our signature sourdough pitas are soft, chewy, and made to carry it all — creamy hummus, smoky eggplant, tangy amba, crispy falafel, za’atar, herbs, heat, and crunch. Comfort food, redefined. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just plants that punch.

Our Story: Three Friends, One Truck, Endless Flavor

We’re Asaf, Chris, and Tomer — three friends united by a love for Middle Eastern flavor and a deep belief in the power of good hospitality. After years of private dinners and catering events, we hit the streets with a single goal: bring people together through flavor.
Chris brings serious kitchen experience from Cologne’s top catering scene. Asaf adds bold creativity and authentic spice. Tomer makes sure it all runs smooth and hits on time.


Together, we built Pita Pocket to be more than a food truck — it’s a moving celebration of food, culture, and community.

Our Pantry

Amba

A tangy, spicy mango sauce from Iraqi-Jewish cuisine. Bold, bright, and unforgettable — especially on sabich.

Tahini

Creamy sesame paste used in many Middle Eastern dishes. Nutty, rich, and amazing with lemon and garlic.

Za’atar

A spice blend of thyme, sumac, sesame seeds, and salt. Earthy, citrusy, and delicious on pita or salad.

Sabich

An Israeli-Iraqi sandwich made with fried eggplant, hard-boiled egg, amba, and veggies. Comfort food in a pita.

Pita (Sourdough)

Our pitas are stone-baked sourdough, fermented naturally and baked fresh. Soft, chewy, and full of flavor — the perfect pocket for all our fillings.

Sumac

A deep red spice with a tangy, lemony flavor. Adds brightness to salads and onions.

Hummus

Creamy chickpea spread with tahini and olive oil.

Chimichurri

An herby sauce from Argentina — ours is green, garlicky, and adds zing to our cauliflower.

Falafel

our falafel is made from ground chickpeas, fresh herbs, garlic, onion, and warm spices like cumin and coriander.
